How To Help

Overview
Peace and Hope Trust is driven by two forces… volunteers and donors. Without either one of these we would not have the exciting and dynamic organization that we have today. The word that best describes the relationship between Peace and Hope Trust, its volunteers, its donors and its beneficiaries is trust.

Through comprehensive briefings, preparation and experience our volunteers learn to trust us in remarkably challenging circumstances and very remote locations and innovative methods of service.

By hosting our donors in Nicaragua and living in the same conditions as our beneficiaries, our donors grow to trust that we are allocating their hard earned money to effective and efficient projects and programs.

In striving to cultivate true development, lasting change and sustainable progress throughout all our projects and programs in Nicaragua, our beneficiaries come to trust that Peace and Hope Trust is an organization that is dependable, fair and marked by standards of integrity and respect for all people.

It is this relationship of trust that bonds us with our beneficiaries, donors and volunteers. We believe that all of the independent parts of our organization should be orchestrated to form a body, a team, a family that is knit together by the threads of passionate concern and dedicated action. And it is with the utmost respect, care and appreciation that we seek to best utilize the sacrifices of others who would join this family of Trust, be it through donors who give of their money or volunteers who give of their time and energy. It is a pleasure to form these relationships of mutual giving as together we strive for excellence in the development of the isolated regions of Nicaragua.
